After reading about "daily painting" online, I decided to try it myself.  At first I painted slowly, but after a couple of weeks, I began to pick up speed.

I noticed that I was able to "see" the subtle nuances of color and value better when painting from "real life" rather than painting from a photographic reference. 

Since I have practiced "daily painting," my work has loosened up and I have been able to accomplish more in a shorter time. I have felt the "thrill" of it and I'm not about to give it up! 

Each of these paintings were created in an afternoon.
